A large crowd gathered to witness this 3rd Heritage Cattle Company Bull Sale. Cattle sold to six states with Bill Wells, Oakley, ID taking the volume bull buying honors with seven bulls. The 15 Hereford coming two’s averaged $1,720 and 9 yearlings posting a $1,255 average. The bred heifers topped at $1,240 with 37 head going at this figure to Craig Stevenson, Blackfoot, ID. The cattle were well presented. John & Joanna Gomes along with the manager Arlin Nelson had everything in order. The cattle were very well presented and sold at a very rapid rate. Many good buys were made. Indeed a job well done.

A very solid set of service age bulls from Barry Angus & Hereford, Madras, OR; Lookingglass Red Angus, Roseburg, OR; Chase Classic Angus, Powell Butte, OR; Lazy J Red Angus, Hillsboro, OR and Finch Angus, Warden, WA were presented at the 1st Cattlemen’s Efficiency Bull Sale. A solid crowd gathered to see Insallah Ranch, Canyon City, OR take the volume buyer honors with 10 head. Cattle sold into three states. Strong demand for the older bulls and softened somewhat on the yearlings. A good showing on this inaugural event for this top program.

The largest crowd to date to attend a Meadow Acre Angus Sale gathered to witness a very well presented quality set of bulls. Joining the Correas of Meadow Acres was Willie Bovard’s Bo Bo Cattle Co., Othello, WA. Cattle sold at a rapid pace to 39 buyers from Washington & Oregon. Steak lunch was provided by Ordway Feeders and certainly enjoyed by all. Meadow Acres and Bo Bo Cattle Co. must be commended on a job extremely well done. Great people, great cattle make it a great event to be a part of.

A huge group of 4-H & FFA members gathered for the Gem State Judging Contest. Cattle sold to four states with Lowell Curtis, Twin Falls, ID taking seven bulls and BYU Ranch, Declo, ID taking six bulls. The Idaho Angus Association held their annual meeting on February 12, 2010 with Glenn Schutte, Gooding, ID elected the new President and Josh Malson, Parma, ID taking the Vice President duties. The steer sale was topped at $1,300 on the Grand Champion coming from TLC Angus, Bliss, ID and selling to Brandon Smith, Rexburg, ID. An active sale and a great tribute to the Idaho Angus Association for this 59th event. Indeed a job well done.
