Cattlemen from four states were on the seats for this inaugural event for Heath & Jody Miller and John &Vicki Wittwer and families. Cattle were presented in working condition carrying no extra condition. The offering was all PAP tested and the lower PAP scores were well received. The open heifers topped at $1,800 on a 2-22-09 daughter of Woodhill Mainline going to Lowe Livestock, LLC, Orem, UT. Rain moved in about sale time and gave everyone a wet trip home. Congratulations go to the Millers and the Wittners for the tremendous hospitality and the success of their first event. Cattle sold to 23 buyers from four states.

A huge crowd gathered to witness the strongest event at Sunny Okanogan in years. 100% of the bulls sold at a rapid pace to 43 buyers from two states. The Basin Payweight 107S sons were in strong demand. Quality ran deep and presentation superb. Indeed the strongest offering to date put forth by the Sunny Okanogan program. Craig, Todd, Scott and families must be commended on the super job done in 2010. The future looks bright as Sunny Okanogan approaches its 50th year in the Angus business.

A large crowd gathered for the 2010 Pope Ranches Bull & Female Sale. Cattle sold at a very rapid pace to buyers from Oregon & California. Strong demand for the low birth weight / low BEPD bulls. Females topped at $1,500 on two going to Richard Courchesne, Long Creek, OR. The 53 females sold without papers and for an additional $100 per head, papers were available. All 53 head sold with papers. Volume female buyer was Ramsey Wood, Susanville, CA taking 37 head. Another super day for this pioneer program that is featuring its 71st year in the Angus business.

A huge crowd gathered on a beautiful spring day. The cattle were well presented and well received. The female offering topped on Zara JR 202P, 3-29-04 by Leachman Frontline 1685; selling at $1,900 to Kris Butcher, Othello, WA. The top selling Shorthorn Bulls went to Windsock Farms, Lopez, WA taking two at $4,750 each. Top selling composite sold at $4,000 to Carol Palmer, Harper, OR and top selling Charolais going at $4,300 to Nord Farms, Bloomington, IL. Prime rib, shrimp, oysters, scallops and hamburgers again were the stars at the pre-sale lunch hosted by the Red, White, & Black participants. As always the lunch that is hard to top anywhere in the West. The hospitality of JR Ranch, the Jeff & Roger Schmidt families of Othello, WA, was indeed five star. The consignment from the Tellefsons of TC Cattle Co, Warden, WA and the Sackmans of Sackman Cattle Co, Warden, WA were indeed strong and well received. Certainly an event where the quality becomes stronger each and every year. A job well done by these three top progressive programs.
