A good crowd from a wide area gathered on a beautiful spring day to put their stamp of approval on the LaGrand program. Cattle sold at rapid pace. Strong satellite activity on both the bulls & females. Low BEPD individuals were in demand. The hospitality was at it usual best at LaGrand. Cattle were very well presented and commanded interest from across the land. A tribute to a very strong program. Our hats are off to the Pankratz family for a job well done.

A big crowd from four states filled the Central Oregon Livestock Auction for the 3rd Northwest Breeders Female Sale on a very wet day. Forty one buyers from four states took the quality offering that saw some very good buys made. The other breeds selling including 8 2008 Red Angus females who averaged $1,512, 7 Limousin females averaged $1,335 and 3 Simmental Angus 2008 heifers averaged $850. The semen sale topped with 7 units of N Bar Emulation EXT, averaging $375 per unit selling to Finch Angus, Warden, WA, and 2 units of Papa Durabull 9805 averaging $375 per unit to NX Angus, Powell Butte, OR. Another very successful event for all involved.
