Beautiful fall day at the beautiful Ankony at Holiday Ranch. A
good crowd gathered to witness a snappy event. Strong interest
from the junior sector selecting heifers for the 2009 show
season. The crew at 44 Ankony had everything in tip top shape.
Hospitality prior and the post sale dinner was at its usual all
time best. Joining Ankony for this 2008 event were the Ayres of
Ayres Angus, Stevensville, MT; the Gohrs of Gohr Angus, Madras,
OR; the Reads of Bar KD Ranch, Culver, OR and the Delaschmutts
of K Bar D Angus, Redmond, OR. Indeed a job well done by all.

this total dispersion sale. The cattle were very well presented
and drew active bidding by those in attendance. The event took
two hours to parade 163 lots to the public. Volume buying honors
went to JR Angus, Isleton, CA taking 30 lots. Jack and John
Gardella and families had everything in top order.

also awarded the Top Consignor Award Overall Breeds and received

An extremely windy day greeted a
full house at the Turlock Livestock Auction for the 2008 CAB/CCB
Bull Sale. The bulls were well presented, weighted and then
graded by Dr. Randy Perry, Fresno State University, Fresno, CA;
Dick Hubman, Medford, OR and Bill Whitley, Greenfield, CA.
Hospitality was indeed superb as everyone enjoyed a super lunch
hosted by the Turlock Livestock Auction and the CAB/CCB
Consignors. Bulls sold at a rapid fire pace to thirty buyers.
Included in the offering were 17 fall yearling bulls. This event
sold the highest percentage of bulls offered as any other sale
in the state this fall. The consignors must be commended on a
job well done.

Two wet days proceeded a beautiful
breezy fall day for the 73rd anniversary of Weaver Angus. Cattle
sold to thirty-nine buyers from ten states. Cattle presented in
tip top form. Jerry and Nancy Weaver and Bob and Virginia Weaver
extended the usual superb Weaver hospitality at the presale
party and sale day. Dean Jannsen, Bret Parr and crew had
everything in tip top order sale day. Strong demand for the top
show prospects and herd sire candidates. Another super day for
this superior program. Indeed a job well done.
