Junior Angus Show

Number Head Shown - 1,141
Juniors from the west captured ten class winners along with two
division winners and three reserve division awards in the owned
division plus six class winners and one division and one reserve
division in the Bred and Owned Show.
Western juniors Kirbe Schnoor, Chowchilla, CA; Robert Myers,
Yamhill, OR and Andrew Rogan, Brandon, SD were elected to the
2008-2009 National Junior Board plus Brandon Creamer, Montrose,
CO was elected the 2008-2009 Vice Chairman of the National
Junior Board.
Three Western juniors were in the top 15 of the Showmanship
Contest while California captured the 1st place Group of Five in
the owned division for the second year in a row.
California’s Garrett Blanchard won the boy’s Silver Pitcher
award for the 2nd consecutive year.
Our hats are off to all the Western juniors who participated in
the 2008 National Junior Show. Indeed a job well done by all.
