bulls that got new homes averaged $2,700. Many good buys were
made. The Champion Pen of Bulls went to Gohr Angus, Dallas, OR.
The Low BEPD Champion was captured by KC Angus, Prineville, OR
with the Reserve Champion honors going to Double T Bar K Angus,
Lyons, OR. The Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Two was captured by
Misty Dean Angus, Yakima, WA. After the top 1/3 sold, prices
became extremely conservative. This event has been a tremendous
outlet for quality yearlings over its 31 years. An event that will
be missed down the road.

A damp
day greeted a crowd from coast to coast. The progeny of Tehama 717
Band 876 were actively sought after. Cattle sold to 14 states. The
cattle were presented in top form and the hospitality was as
always at Tehama, at its usual top level. The Borror family must
be commended on 64 years of breeding sound, high performing
quality individuals sought after the leading and progressive
programs of the breed. Bill, Kevin, Linda and Eric Borror must be
congratulated on a job well done.

& Hereford Ranch, Freeman, SD and sold to Pheasant Trek, Wilton,
CA and Pearl Ridge Angus, Rescue, CA. The semen topped at $180 per
unit on five units of CA Future Direction 5321. The sale is

highlight of the

A large
crowd gathered at the Central Oregon Livestock Auction on a
beautiful spring day to witness the inaugural Northwest Breeders
Female Sale. Over 125 registered buyers, with 63 buyers from eight
states taking the offering. The cattle were presented in top form.
Although the market fluctuated between breeds, there was a strong
activity and interest in the top lots. The Angus semen topped at
$185 per unit on five straws of Tehama Bando 155 going to Don
Thibault, Jerome, ID. The top selling Angus embryos came from
Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR on four embryos produced by
Sun Blackcap Rito 049 and sired by B/R Destination 727-928 selling
at $550 each going to Ankony Angus, Clarksville, GA. The top Red
Angus embryos sold at $650 per egg out of SCHR Dynamic Sally 18K.
They were consigned by Heffner-Magill, Central Point, OR and sold
to Jim Craven, Buffalo, IL. Buyers taking six or more lots
included Finch’s Angus, Warden, WA; Greber Farms, Elk Grove, CA;
Wind River Cattle Co., Carson, WA and Ramage Ranch, Silver Lake,
OR. The consignors must be congratulated on a job well done.
