Joe Koudelka IV
 
 

Joe Koudelka IV, 42; Justin Koudelka, 11; Joshua Koudelka, 14 and Joseph Koudelka V, 17 of Nampa, ID died May 25th, 2007 on Hwy 95 approximately 15 miles north of the Oregon-Nevada border, the result of a collision of their 2002 Chevy Suburban and a 2007 Peterbilt truck. The Koudelkas were enroute to Nevada where Joseph V was scheduled to compete in a swim meet. Joe Koudelka, a plumber and farmer, raised Angus cattle and his sons were active in the Junior Angus activities. Joe’s wife Jill and daughter Janae did not go on the trip. Services for the Koudelkas were held on June 2, 2007 at the Nampa East Stake Center, Nampa, Idaho.

Bernard Hambleton, 91, of Sun City, AZ passed away peacefully at his home on May 22, 2007. He was born in Guthrie County, IA to Asa and Edna Hambleton. Bernard honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was discharged in 1941. Bernard and his wife lived most of their married life in the state of Washington and enjoyed wintering in Sun City, AZ. In Washington, Bernard worked as a Hospital Administrator from 1950-1974. Right before his retirement, he became very interested in Black Angus cattle and showed them in various fairs. Under the banner of Glacier View Angus Ranch in Rockport, WA this herd consisted of over 200 head on a 300-acre farm. The Glacier View herd produced many Western U.S. Sale champions, but the crowning achievement was reached when they received the 1975 National Western Grand Champion Female Award with “Dutchess.” Bernard was a loyal supporter of the Western States Angus Association and as a director and President of the organization. In 2005, Bernard and his wife moved to Sun City, AZ permanently. Here he enjoyed golf and was a member of Union Hills Country Club. He is preceded in death by his sisters Naomi Emerson, Kathleen Shook, Maxine Smith and his brother Donald Hambleton. Bernard is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marion; sisters Pauline Greenfield and Dorothy Smith; sister-in-law Melva McClure and brother-in-law John (Betty) Engelke and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews who were very much a part of his life. A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at First Christian Church of Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Sun Health Research Institute, ATTN: Parkinson’s Disease Center, 10515 W.
