A large crowd gathered to witness cattle sell to 59 buyers from six states. The temperature was mild, the demand was active and the results were strong. Calving ease was certainly the word of the day. Hospitality put forth by the Kast and Hooper families was, as usual, top notch. Thiel Livestock, Nyssa, OR took the top registered female in 101 Tamie L631, 9-5-01 by 101 Fame 4802 with a 10-3-06 bull by 101 Grid Maker EM3 selling at $2,400. Zink Family Partnership, Filer, ID paid $1,300 for the Commercial Bred Heifers and took home all 50 of them at that figure. Volume bull buying honors went to Cline Ranch, Sweet, ID; Curtis Dent, Richmond, UT; and Peavey & Hoots, Deeth, NV; each taking 5 lots or more. The cattle were well presented. Congratulations are in order to both programs for a job well done.
