Jim Heckendorf, age 41, of Middlefield Farms, Fort Collins, CO, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007, at home surrounded by his family.

In 1986, while in college, he met Shelley, his future wife. They married in Grand Lake in 1993.
Jim was a member of many livestock organizations and a 4-H leader for 12 years.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He made sure that his children knew his appreciation for the outdoors. Jim was also a good cook. He was an artist and illustrator for short stories. Jim was well loved by all.
