Fifty three buyers from seven states took home the 55th Nelson Angus Ranch offering on a beautiful warm fall day in the Salmon River Valley. Active demand for the quality individuals and tabulations. The 10 bred commercial heifers sold at $1,350 each to Kyle Stewart, St. George, UT. Taking 6 or more head were Alleman Land & Livestock, Montpelier, ID; Beyeler Ranches, Leadore, ID; Tom Blotter, Logan, UT; Phillips Bros., Meridian, ID; Kyle Stewart, St. George, UT; Roger Clark, Menan, ID; Holbrook Ranch, Mackay, ID; TN Cattle Co., Gazelle, CA and RV Bar Angus, Jensen, UT. A good crowd from five states gathered on an unseasonably warm day at the Western Park facilities in Vernal, UT to witness the first purebred production sale in decades for the county. Cattle sold at a rapid fire pace to buyers from four states. Activity demand on the bull calves who were as young as March 28, 2007. The commercial bred heifers sold at $1,575, all going to Bryce Olson, Neola, UT. The Lou, Randy and Randan Vincent families extended the highest of hospitality having a dinner and presentation on Friday evening by Pfizer. Lunch was provided on sale day. Indeed a grand tribute to an up and coming program for the Beehive state. Every animal that entered the ring got a new home. Truly a job well done by all.
